海南大学国际商学院的历史可以追溯至1980年开设的农林经济管理专业，经历几十年发展，在全体师生、校友及社会各界热心帮助和支持下，海南大学的经济和管理学科取得了长足进步。2023年6月，学校在原管理学院和经济学院的基础上，组建成立了既承载着海大经管光荣发展历史、又充满新的无限可能性的国际商学院。

新起点，新征程。学院将继续秉承“大道致远，海纳百川”的校训，以贡献经管智慧、培养高素质人才、服务自贸港建设为己任，坚持“学科立院、人才强院、开放兴院、制度治院”的办学方略，以工商管理学科建设为重点，着力促进应用经济学、管理科学与工程、农林经济与管理等多学科交叉融合发展；学院将充分挖掘现有教师潜力，同时继续引进国内外高层次人才，形成一支力量雄厚的师资队伍；学院将立足海南、放眼世界，励精图治，努力成为学科和专业特色鲜明、优势突出，与自贸港同行的一流国际商学院。

Dean's Message

The history of the International Business School of Hainan University can be traced back to the establishment of the major of Agricultural & Forestry Economics and Management in 1980. After decades of development, with the enthusiastic help and support of all teachers, students, alumni, and various sectors of society, the major has made great progress. In June 2023, the School was reorganized and established as the International Business School, which not only carries the glorious development history of this major, but also fills with unlimited new possibilities.

New starting point, new journey. The School will continue to uphold the school motto of "All rivers run into sea, all efforts aim for the highest ideals," which will contribute economic and management wisdom to train high-quality talents, and serve the construction of the Free Trade Port. The School will adhere to the educational strategy of "disciplinary-based school, talent-strong school, open-minded school with institutional governance," focus on the construction of the discipline of business administration and promote the cross-disciplinary integration and development of applied economics, management science and engineering, agricultural and forestry economics, and management. The School will fully tap the potential of existing teachers, while continuing to recruit high-level talents from home and abroad to form a strong faculty team. The School will be based in Hainan, face the world, strive for excellence, and work hard to become a first-class international business school with distinctive disciplinary and professional features that stand out and walk alongside the Free Trade Port.
